The storm hit Farmville C.C. Thursday June 23rd left us stymied for a week. Fiftyone trees were blowned down or damaged to the point of needing to be cut down.The course was left completely littered with all types of debri. Many hours of overtime by the grounds crew led by superintendant Phil Faust, volunteer efforts from members, and tree work done by Billys Tree Service turned what looked to be a battle zone back to a golf course in a weeks time. We have opened the course for member play, and as always we welcome guest play. Thanks goes out for the many phone calls of best wishes , and special thanks for your patience during our downtime. The course looks good and we look forward to seeing golfers filling the fairways again.
